Jaguar Land Rover has temporarily halted production at its Solihull plant in the UK due to supply chain issues. The pause is expected to last around two weeks, coinciding with a planned Easter holiday shutdown.

The disruption affects key models including the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The company hasn't specified which component is in short supply but is working with its supplier to resume production as soon as possible.

This marks the third major disruption in the past 12 months. In August 2025, production was halted for over a month following a cyberattack, and later issues arose from semiconductor shortages.

This situation highlights the vulnerability of automakers to global supply chains, where a single missing part can bring an entire assembly line to a standstill. Despite these challenges, JLR continues to push forward with its product development. The new Freelander, developed in partnership with Chery, is set to debut soon, while testing continues for the updated 2027 Range Rover Sport.
