The Porsche 911 (993), built between 1994 and 1998, holds legendary status as the final air-cooled 911. Now British specialist Everrati has brought it back in electrified form as the Porsche 911 (993) Founders Edition, unveiled at Monterey Car Week. Production will be strictly limited to just nine units, each tailored to its owner.

Visually, the car remains true to the iconic 993 shape, with an interior that retains its analogue feel while being wrapped in modern luxury. Underneath, however, lies cutting-edge EV tech. A 63 kWh battery provides a range of around 200 miles (322 km), with 100 kW DC fast-charging taking it from 20–80% in 25 minutes. Power comes from a high-performance electric drivetrain delivering 760 hp and 810 Nm, nearly double what the original engine produced.

Each Founders Edition will be bespoke, featuring exclusive paint finishes and custom details chosen with direct input from the buyer. Everrati also invites customers to join the testing phase, ensuring a truly personal build.

Pricing hasn’t been announced, but given Everrati’s previous projects — such as the Mercedes-Benz SL W113 EV at £330,000 — the electric 993 is expected to approach $450,000. Most of the limited run is likely to head to U.S. collectors.

CEO Justin Lunny describes the car as a way to «relive the air-cooled magic responsibly,» blending nostalgia with daily usability. For enthusiasts, it’s a dream garage icon reborn for the electric era.
