Geely Galaxy TT launch date, price and key specifications

Geely will officially launch the Galaxy TT on September 10. Three rear-wheel-drive versions are currently offered at pre-sale prices from 145,900 to 169,900 yuan. The main question now is no longer the technology, which has already been disclosed, but whether the company will keep this aggressive price range in the final list.

Interest in the car is already measured by more than page views: by the end of August, Geely said it had received more than 20,000 pre-orders. These are still pre-orders, not registrations or actual deliveries. The first sales figures after September 10 will therefore show how much of that strong early interest turns into real purchases.

There should be no technical surprises at the launch. The 4,999 mm-long Galaxy TT is built on an 800-volt architecture, uses CATL Shenxing TT batteries and supports 6C charging. Geely says 11 minutes of charging can add more than 400 km of range. Rear-wheel-drive versions produce up to 245 kW, or 333 hp, while the all-wheel-drive Ultra delivers 425 kW, around 578 hp.

That is why there is little point in repeating the Galaxy TT technical breakdown after pre-orders opened. The base version already looked especially aggressive on price: it is 63,900 yuan cheaper than the all-wheel-drive Ultra and roughly 34% cheaper than the base Xiaomi SU7. The next test will be the final price on September 10 and the terms Geely keeps after the pre-sale campaign ends.

The Ultra remains a separate case. Earlier in the summer, the 578 hp version with lidar and a 0–100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds was the technological flagship of the family. Now the mass-market rear-wheel-drive Galaxy TT versions look more important to the market, because their final prices will show how far Geely is prepared to go in the price battle among Chinese electric sedans.
