Volkswagen’s 2026 Tiguan has become markedly more expensive in North America. The entry model is up by 610 dollars, bringing the starting price to 32,280 dollars.

The steeper jumps land on the better-equipped trims. The SE R-Line adds 1,090 dollars, moving from 38,720 to 40,220 dollars. The biggest leap is reserved for the flagship Tiguan SEL R-Line Turbo, which rises by 2,630 dollars to 44,560 dollars. The pattern suggests Volkswagen is lifting the ceiling more decisively than the floor, putting the heft of the increase on premium versions.

Petar Danilovic, senior vice president for marketing and strategy at Volkswagen of America, said it is normal for automakers to raise prices year over year and hinted that tariffs played a role in the latest adjustments. Against that backdrop, shoppers eyeing higher trims will feel the change most clearly.
