Fiat has opened order books for the new compact crossover, the Grande Panda. In the UK, the hybrid version starts at £18,035 (about 2 million rubles), while the electric variant begins at £21,035 (almost 2.3 million rubles). That pricing positions it among the most affordable models in its class, and it has already been named Autocar’s Best Small Car 2025.

The hybrid pairs a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 29-hp electric motor integrated into a six-speed automatic transmission. Combined output stands at 109 hp, with 0–100 km/h taking 10 seconds. The electric version uses a 111-hp motor and a 44-kWh battery for up to 320 km of range, and it supports rapid charging at up to 100 kW. On paper, those figures look well judged for everyday use, particularly in city traffic.

The Grande Panda undercuts rivals on price: the hybrid comes in below the Renault Clio, and the electric crossover is several thousand pounds cheaper than the Hyundai Inster. Fiat also adds a £1,500 e‑grant discount. First deliveries are slated for November, with a dealer show tour across the UK beforehand. Aggressive pricing and a straightforward spec sheet are exactly what resonates in this part of the market.

Fiat says interest is huge—thousands of buyers have already registered their intent to purchase the Panda, and demand could outstrip supply. If that holds, it points to compact, attainable cars regaining momentum despite the glut of pricey crossovers.
