Porsche Japan has notified Japan's Ministry of Transport about a major recall campaign affecting three models: the Cayenne, Taycan, and Panamera. The recall covers vehicles manufactured between March 13, 2018, and June 26, 2025, totaling 12,532 cars.

The issue stems from a malfunction in the driver assistance system control unit. A software bug has been identified that can interrupt the video signal transmission from the cameras. As a result, the display may stop showing the surround-view system image, including the critically important "straight left" or "straight right" view depending on the market. This could potentially violate safety requirements.

The company will update the software for the assistance system control unit. The reprogramming will be carried out once a corrected software version is ready, without replacing any hardware components.

So far, 323 owner complaints related to the camera behavior have been registered. No accidents caused by the defect have been reported.
