Nissan has officially confirmed the return of Warrior off-road versions for the new generations of the Navara and Patrol. These projects are being developed in collaboration with the Australian company Premcar and are primarily targeted at the Australian market.

The Navara Warrior will be based on the Pro-4X and will receive significant off-road modifications. These include a reinforced suspension, increased ground clearance, a steel bumper with added protection, off-road tires larger than 32 inches, and additional LED lighting. The powertrain, however, will remain unchanged: a 2.4-liter bi-turbo diesel engine producing around 200 horsepower, paired with the Super 4WD all-wheel-drive system.

The flagship Patrol SUV will also get a Warrior version. It will feature adaptive air suspension, differential locks, and enhanced underbody protection. Under the hood, a new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with up to 425 horsepower will replace the previous naturally aspirated V8.

Unlike extreme versions such as the Ford Ranger Raptor, the Warrior models focus not on raw power, but on endurance and off-road capability. Their main competitors will be the Toyota Land Cruiser GR Sport and the Ford Ranger Tremor.

The Navara Warrior is expected to launch in the coming months after sales of the base version begin, while the new Patrol Warrior may arrive by 2027. These versions are likely to remain exclusive to the Australian market. This move strategically strengthens Nissan's position in the off-road segment.

The Warrior is not just a tuning package, but a factory-engineered solution for those who prioritize genuine off-road capability over marketing numbers.
