Great Wall has unveiled the refreshed Tank 400. The SUV keeps its signature mecha‑inspired look, but brings a reshaped front bumper, new chrome accents, intricate headlight clusters, and a fresh purple hue. At the back, the badges are rearranged, while the spare wheel stays outside—now without a cover. The tweaks gently clean up the stance without sacrificing its tough character. Its dimensions are 4,964 by 1,970 by 1,905 mm, with a 2,850‑mm wheelbase. It rolls on 18‑inch wheels, accepts AT tires, and is rated to tow up to 2.5 tonnes. The headline change is the arrival of the Hi4‑Z variant. It pairs a 2.0‑liter turbocharged engine (185 kW, 380 Nm) with two electric motors—P2 (215 kW) and P4 (240 kW). With a 59.05‑kWh battery, the setup delivers up to 200 km of electric range on the CLTC cycle and 8.3 l/100 km fuel consumption with a depleted battery. For a more attainable entry point, the Hi4‑T combines the 2.0T with a single 120‑kW motor and a 37.1‑kWh battery for 105 km of EV range. On paper, this spread of powertrains looks tuned for mixed use, from city hops to longer trips.Inside, there’s a 12.3‑inch digital cluster, a 16.2‑inch infotainment screen, a new column‑mounted gear selector layout, and a user‑friendly control block with physical buttons. Available features include seat massage, a head‑up display, a 15.6‑inch roof‑mounted monitor, and a refrigerator integrated into the armrest. The blend of big screens and tactile switches feels well‑judged for daily driving.A rooftop lidar teams with cameras and radars within the Coffee Pilot Ultra suite, supporting urban and highway NOA navigation. The Tank 400 now leans not only into off‑road ability but also everyday comfort and tech, which should broaden its appeal. The model is sold in Russia, so the updated SUV should reach GWM dealers there as well.
