GMC will end production of the Canyon pickup for the 2026 model year on October 16, 2026. Production began in July 2025, meaning this model year will last longer than the typical 12-month cycle.The Canyon continues to be offered in Elevation, AT4, AT4X, and Denali trims. All versions come equipped with a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine producing 310 horsepower and 583 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.During the model year, the Canyon received several updates. New exterior colors and wheel options were added, and equipment packages were adjusted. The Desert Sun color has already been discontinued, and some other shades may disappear by the next model year.For the AT4X trim, a dealer-installed CornerStep rear bumper became available, while the AT4 now offers new off-road tires for the standard 18-inch wheels.The model is produced at GM's Missouri plant, with a starting price of $40,995. Looking ahead, the Canyon may receive an update alongside the Chevrolet Colorado, likely around 2027 or 2028.
