Chinese electric vehicle maker Li Auto has entered an active phase of international expansion, signing dealer agreements in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and announcing plans to enter Asia-Pacific markets from May 2026. The company is focusing on its L-series models with extended-range electric vehicle technology.Li Auto has partnered with Al Fahim Motors in the UAE and Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors in Saudi Arabia. The agreements pave the way for sales of the L6, L7, L8 and L9 crossovers in the Middle East. At the same time, the company has announced its entry into Cambodia, Laos, Macao and Myanmar, where a dealer network is already being developed.The export push will be led by models using the EREV hybrid system, which combines electric drive with a petrol generator. This format extends driving range and reduces dependence on charging infrastructure. The models are aimed at the family segment, with spacious interiors and advanced digital control systems.Unlike many Chinese brands, Li Auto is not prioritising rapid sales above all else. Its strategy is centred on building the supporting infrastructure, including service networks, parts warehouses and logistics, with a central hub planned in the Middle East.Europe is seen as the next stage. The brand has already confirmed its participation in the 2026 Paris Motor Show, although local production is not currently planned.
