Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the Vision One-Eleven concept, a futuristic electric supercar inspired by the legendary experimental C111. It fuses the swagger of the 1970s with 21st-century tech, sketching out how the brand envisions tomorrow’s sports cars.

Finished in Alubeam copper-orange, the car pairs gullwing doors with a dramatically low profile that stands just 1,170 mm tall—an instant visual nod to the historic prototype. The wheels, with aluminum elements that echo motor coils, underline its electric nature. At the front and rear, digital panels with pixel lighting can display messages to other road users, turning the car into a moving interface rather than just a sculpture on wheels.

Inside, the cabin shifts between two worlds: a focused sport mode and a “living room” setup. The former is pared-back and minimal; the latter opens into a roomy lounge with white panels made from recycled polyester and orange leather tanned using coffee husks. The contrast gives the interior a clear purpose—fast when you want it, relaxed when you need it.

Power comes from two YASA axial-flux motors that are said to be three times more compact and lighter than conventional units at the same output. A new battery with cylindrical cells was developed by Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrain engineers, applying Formula 1 know-how. On paper, this combination points to high power density with an eye on efficiency.

Vision One-Eleven shows how a storied brand can turn heritage into technological artistry, weaving past, present, and the pursuit of speed into one statement piece.
