Porsche has topped the prestigious J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Index Study (SSI) in the U.S. for the third year in a row, posting a record 855 points out of a possible 1,000. The ranking reflects how brands perform across key touchpoints — from the comfort of the purchase process and the availability of pricing offers to vehicle delivery quality and the handover training that helps new owners get to grips with their cars. A three-peat at this level speaks to rare consistency at the point of sale.In the premium segment, Land Rover placed second with 838 points, just 17 shy of the leader, while Infiniti finished third at 835. The narrow margins show how closely matched the top tier has become.Among mass-market brands, Buick leads with 827 points, followed by Subaru (823) and Chevrolet (821). Below the study’s average are Hyundai (791), Kia (776), and Genesis (804). The spread of results underscores how uneven showroom experiences remain across the volume end of the market. The study also highlights how customers are counseled during a purchase. Around 22% of respondents wanted more guidance on vehicle features, yet only about 47% of those who needed that support reported receiving meaningful help. Even strong sales processes can stumble here — the feature walk-through at delivery is still where many buyers feel underserved.
