Maruti Suzuki Victoris has become the brand’s second model to earn Global NCAP’s highest safety rating. Following the Dzire’s result late last year, the new Victoris signals that the Indian carmaker is treating driver and passenger protection as a priority rather than a checklist item.

Tested under Global NCAP’s updated protocols, the Victoris scored five stars for both adult and child occupant protection. Standard equipment includes six airbags, ESC, and pedestrian protection, while expanded ADAS features are available as options.

The body structure and footwell were rated stable and able to take additional load. Every seat comes with a three-point seatbelt and i-Size mounts. In crash tests, adult dummies recorded adequate to high protection across all body regions, and side and pole impacts delivered full head coverage.

Child safety received equal attention: 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies, placed in ISOFIX seats with a support leg, achieved full protection. That puts the Victoris among the safest family-oriented cars in India.

The Victoris shows that safety is becoming a deciding factor even in the mass-market segment. For buyers, the takeaway is straightforward: Maruti Suzuki’s 2025 models can now be weighed not just by price, but by how well they protect everyone on board.
