Lincoln is expanding the protective technology suite for its flagship SUV. Starting with the 2026 model year, all versions of the Lincoln Navigator will come standard with the new Lincoln Security package. This system, previously used on mass-market Ford models, has now been adapted for the luxury segment. Its primary focus is preventing theft and unauthorized access.Owners receive alerts about attempted break-ins through the Lincoln app and can remotely disable the engine start. Even if a thief manages to get inside, the Navigator cannot be started without an authorized key.The package also includes a stolen vehicle recovery service, allowing owners to contact Lincoln support directly. This team then works with law enforcement to recover the vehicle. In some states, there is an additional program that covers insurance deductibles up to $2,500 for damage or loss resulting from theft.Although the security package is standard across all 2026 Navigator trims—including Premier, Reserve, and Black Label—its use requires a subscription. However, Lincoln offers four years of free service after system activation, which helps offset the overall increase in ownership costs.Beyond these updates, the 2026 Navigator remains largely unchanged from the 2025 model, following a recent full refresh. Other changes include the introduction of the Lincoln Connectivity package and a revised wheel lineup: the previous 24-inch Luster Nickel wheels have been replaced by new Bright Machined Aluminium wheels with black accents.Despite the return of the base Premier trim, Navigator prices have risen significantly. In an era of increasing thefts of premium SUVs, Lincoln's focus on digital security makes sense. Safety is gradually becoming as much a luxury feature as leather upholstery or premium audio.
