Since returning to the market, the Tata Sierra continues to see exceptionally high demand, with over 70,000 bookings in a single day leading to wait times stretching several months. Deliveries began on January 15th, and production is gradually ramping up, but dealers have already outlined the current reality.According to the dealer network, the average wait time is between three and four months. This timeline varies significantly depending on the engine and transmission choice. Gasoline versions—the 106 hp naturally aspirated and 160 hp turbo—arrive 2-4 weeks faster than the more sought-after 118 hp diesel. Those opting for an automatic transmission face an even longer delay, with wait times increasing by 15-30 days compared to the manual. The uneven demand also affects trim levels. The higher-end Adventure+, Accomplished, and Accomplished+ trims have longer queues, while the entry-level Smart and Pure versions become available a bit sooner. Among color options, Munnar Mist has proven the most scarce, topping the list for the longest wait. The Sierra is offered with three powertrains, though the turbo variant is exclusively paired with an automatic transmission. Prices range from €10,800 to €20,200, positioning it against rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Renault Duster, Toyota Hyryder, and Honda Elevate.Despite the lengthy queues, Tata assures customers that production is accelerating and wait times will gradually decrease.
