Cupra has revealed its plans for expanding its model lineup in the coming years. According to company CEO Marcus Haupt, 2026 will be a pivotal year, with the brand set to introduce two new electric hatchbacks: the Raval and a refreshed Born.The Raval will join Volkswagen's "urban electric family." Production and battery assembly are based in Spain. Base models will feature an LFP battery and a starting price around £25,000. Entry-level versions are expected to deliver about 130 horsepower, while more powerful variants will offer 208 and 223 horsepower. The Dynamic version claims a range of up to 450 km.The updated Born will receive a redesigned look and a more affordable LFP battery. Cupra aims to boost its share of electric vehicle sales from 24% to roughly one-third, a move that matters for meeting environmental regulations in key markets.Looking ahead, a flagship SUV called the Tindaya is also in the pipeline, measuring 4.72 meters in length. The concept was shown earlier, with a production version expected around 2030 on the new SSP platform. It may offer different powertrain options, including fully electric or with a range extender.In 2025, Cupra sold 328,800 vehicles, reaching the milestone of 1 million cars since its founding. The new 2026 models are poised to strengthen the brand's position in the European market and enhance its competitiveness in the affordable electric vehicle segment.
