Ram Rampage Rebel Ignition 2027: price, engines and specs

The Ram Rampage Rebel now has a powertrain that isn’t available on the standard 2027 Rebel. The new limited Rebel Ignition series gets a 2.0-liter Hurricane 4 Turbo Flex producing 272 hp and 400 Nm, with production capped at just 400 units.

It’s the engine that makes this newcomer more than a purely cosmetic special edition. When Ram unveiled the 2027 Rampage lineup earlier this year, the 272-hp Flex unit was reserved for the Laramie and R/T trims, while the Rebel kept its 2.2-liter turbodiesel rated at 200 hp and 450 Nm. Rebel Ignition buyers can now choose either one.

With the gasoline-ethanol engine, the pickup sprints to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and tops out at 210 km/h. Both engines pair with a nine-speed automatic and full-time 4x4 Auto with a low-range mode. Pricing starts at R$250,990 for the 272-hp version and R$270,990 for the diesel — roughly $46,500 and $50,200 at current exchange rates, a gap of about $3,700 between the two powertrains.

Visually, the Rebel Ignition stands out with an exclusive Pacific Blue paint job, black roof, mirrors and 17-inch wheels, unique graphics and a RamBar. Inside, it gets leather and suede upholstery, blue accents, a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and an individually numbered plaque running from 1 to 400.

Ram has used this playbook before — sharpening the styling without building a dedicated high-output engine: the recent Ram 1500 Direct Connection with the Roush package also picked up off-road hardware and a bolder look while keeping its stock power output. The Rampage, though, has an extra angle: Ignition effectively widens the powertrain choice specifically for the Rebel trim.

Ram will showcase the series at Festival Interlagos, with Brazilian sales set to begin soon. The official run is capped at 400 units, and the automaker isn’t promising more for now.
