Subaru of America announced that all Subaru Solterra EV owners can now access more than 25,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across North America, opening the door to fast, hassle-free charging on the road. The 2026 models arrive with an NACS port compatible with Tesla’s network and support for Plug & Charge, which recognizes the vehicle and starts the session automatically. It’s the kind of pragmatic integration that makes everyday EV life simpler.

Owners of 2023–2025 Solterra models will be able to purchase a Subaru-branded NACS adapter this fall to connect to DC fast chargers. Through the SubaruConnect app, drivers can locate nearby stations, manage payment, and initiate battery preconditioning before plugging in. Having search, payment, and preconditioning in one place trims the friction that often undermines public charging.

A new preconditioning system allows the 2026 Subaru Solterra EV to charge to 80% in about 28 minutes, even in cold weather. When fully charged, the vehicle offers up to 465 km of range, underscoring the brand’s technical progress and its alignment with Tesla’s global charging infrastructure. Strong cold-weather charging performance is a telling benchmark for any EV, and these figures point to a more confident ownership experience.
