Euro NCAP has released its assessment of the Porsche Cayenne Electric: it scored 91% for adult occupant protection, 89% for child occupants, 81% for vulnerable road user protection, and 79% for safety assist. The tested vehicle was a left-hand-drive Cayenne Electric with a kerb weight of 2,512 kg, and the rating applies to the entire Cayenne Electric range, including the S and Turbo versions. In the report reviewed by SPEEDME.RU, it’s underlined that the passenger cell remained stable in the frontal offset test, with protection for the driver and front passenger generally good across key areas. In the full-width rigid-barrier test, however, one finding stands apart: dummy readings indicated marginal protection for the driver’s chest. In side impacts, the Cayenne Electric took maximum points, and whiplash protection in a rear-end collision was also rated as good.On the assistance front, the model delivers a confident showing: there is AEB for pedestrians and cyclists, car-to-car response, lane-keeping support, and seatbelt reminders for both front and rear occupants. For everyday use, especially with large electric SUVs like this, not only the star tally but the nuances of the protocol make a difference. The outcome looks very strong, yet when choosing a car it still pays to check the exact equipment version and how the assistants behave in real traffic.
