This is a large electric sedan with a sloping roofline, slim lighting, and sporty decorative elements. Next to it was the N6—a more restrained sedan with a smooth body, narrow headlights, and a full-width rear lightbar. Also on the stand were the Sylphy and Teana, which remain important models for the mass market. The new Teana, also called Teana Plus, is essentially a revamped version of the 2018 Altima for the Chinese market. Naturally aspirated engines are gone; the sedan now features a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 243 hp paired with a CVT. Inside, there is a digital cockpit with modern multimedia, and the same theme is echoed across other Nissan models on display: large screens, light upholstery, and a focus on sound. The NX8 showcased the Nissan Sound system with 25 speakers and Dolby Atmos.Inside its new models, Nissan is emphasizing large displays, minimal physical buttons, and light interior materials. This is especially apparent in the NX8 interior: a large central screen, a standalone digital instrument cluster, light upholstery, and a multimedia system focused on audio. The Nissan Sound system with 25 speakers and Dolby Atmos was demonstrated on the screen, clearly showing the brand's shift toward comfort and digital features. The Chinese market demands rapid updates, local platforms, and rich equipment right from the base level. Nissan is responding by expanding its electrified lineup and adopting bolder styling compared to what it offers in many other markets. The N7 and NX8 will have to compete not only with Toyota and Honda, but also with strong Chinese players, who have long made large screens, premium sound systems, and spacious interiors standard expectations.
